Not too long ago, speakers would book speaking gigs through direct referrals and cold pitching that would often lead to a lot of ghosting, unreplied emails, and endless waiting.
But there’s been a boom in the event space where event organizers are moving much faster to get their events up and running, and that includes selecting their speakers.

I was tired of WAITING!
Quick backstory: I am used to having 4-5 booked gigs per month, but for whatever reason, my July was looking a little light. I only had one event on the calendar for that month. That doesn’t work for me and wanted to change that! While doom-scrolling on social media (shame on me!), I saw a number of ads for upcoming events.
That’s when it hit me… Why aren’t we using social media to find the events we want to speak at!? Following a clear and simple process, I applied and secured 5 speaking gigs in 2 weeks!
I then tested the strategy on two friends and they had similar results. That’s when I knew I had discovered something awesome, and now I want to share it with you!

Finding the gigs is only half the battle. You have to get the organizer to say yes!
In the workshop, I also covered the importance of applying to speak the RIGHT way.
Believe it or not, every word, every asset submitted, and even your photos are used to determine if you’re the right fit. So it’s not as simple as showing your expertise; it’s a matter of showing up as a no-brainer.
This means you have to be intentional about how you fill out forms, how you show up on calls, and what you submit to be reviewed.
Don’t leave it to chance! Find the right events and show up as the right choice!
